About DC Auto Repair LLC Appleton, WI
On July 7, 2009, Denae and Chad Katalinick officially opened DC Auto Repair. Opening the shop was a long-standing dream for both Denae and Chad to serve the Fox Valley and surrounding communities, with their automotive repair needs.
The big question was, how would we separate ourselves with so many automotive repair facilities in the fox valley?
This was the question that became the center of discussion around our dinner table. The answer we came up with over and over would be this simple. Our grandparents would tell us stories of the old times when they would enjoy the small-town atmosphere that the auto industry provided. This soon went away as the small shops became corporate. That is what we decided we wanted to bring back to the community! A sense of security, trust, and respect that came with the mom and pop shops that were fading.
Our next step was how to create a business that provided both that small-town family relationship along with the ability and knowledge of a corporate dealership. With these business practices, DC has grown from a one-bay shop to a fully equipped stand-alone eight-bay repair facility. Through the years, our hard work and honesty, and a great clientele base have allowed us to grow to what we are today! We could not have accomplished what we set out to do without the blessings from the Lord and the support from our employees, friends, family, and community.

- Scanned the system and found codes for the mass air flow circuit low and for IAT circuit high. Also have codes in the system for the evap large leak and system disabled information stored. Traced the mass air flow system concern and found the unit unplugged. Plugged back in and monitored. Cleared all codes and test drove with no concerns. Ran health test and passing at this time. Evap codes likely to return

- Found the right rear shock bushing worn and allowing a lot of movement and making noise Replaced the rear shocks to correct

2015 Chrysler 200
- Tested the system and found faults for the cooling system performance. Tested the cooling system and found failure with the thermostat assembly. Also found low on coolant. Code also in the system for the active grill shutter performance. Tested and found it to be working ok, may have frozen with the recent temps. Replaced the thermostat assembly and filled system with coolant. Bled air from the system and test drove with no concerns Also noted small leak in cooling system due to poor clamp. Replaced the clamp

- Tech removed bumper and found guest provided headlight assembly incorrect. Tech also found drivers fog light bulb out and passenger side marker light out. Tech replaced fog light bulb and passenger side marker light then installed broken headlight assembly back in vehicle. DC ordered correct headlight assembly, tech removed broken headlight assembly transferred all lights from broken headlight assembly to new assembly installed and tested. All operations working as designed at this time.
2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500

- Performed Transmission oil Exchange. Confirmed proper oil level after service completed.
2017 Honda Pilot
- Tech removed and replaced timing belt kit with water pump then tested all operations working as designed.
- Tech removed and replaced all spark plugs due to mileage and time then tested.
- Performed Transmission oil Exchange. Confirmed proper oil level after service completed.
- Evacuated transfer case Oil. Refilled using new transfer case oil.
- Evacuated Rear Differential oil. Refilled with new gear oil.

2013 Honda Odyssey
- Test drove and duplicated the concern. Feeling pulsation from the front and the rear brakes. Put on hoist and removed the tires to inspect to find the brake pads in great shape but the rotors front and rear causing a pulsation. Replaced the front and the rear rotors under parts warranty for guest and guest paying the labor. Due to history trying a different vendor for the rotors on this go around. Guest to monitor operations

2007 Toyota Tundra
- Guest states the vehicle in a no start. Was having issues for a few days no start and then would start after cycling key.
- Tech found starter to be bad causing vehicle to be in a no start condition. Recommend replacement of starter to correct. Tech removed and replaced started when removing starter tech found start connector bad, tech replaced then tested all operations working as designed at this time.
- Tech removed squeaking belt and replaced with new one. extra time added due to having to remove cooling fan to gain access to belt then tested noise is now gone.
