- found cylinder number 2 misfire swap coil and plug found no change miss fire stayed on cylinder number 2 perform compression test found 1,3,4 cylinders at 175 psi and cylinder number 2 at 20 psi remove valve cover found valve train to be in tact bore scope cylinder found catastrophic cylinder wall damage recommend replacing engine to correct
- Remove all related components to gain access to transmission bell housing bolts as well as engine mount bolts remove failed engine from vehicle swap over all needed components from original engine remove and replace oil pan from used engine with original oil pan reinsstall used engine to vehicle reinsstall all previously removed components pull cooling system in to vacuum system holds vacuum fill cooling system with new engine coolant pressure test cooling system no visible leaks seen at this time fill engine with new engine oil and filter manually prime oil system with engine disabled start and run engine to operating temp inspect for leaks no engine oil leaks seen at this time road test reinspect for engine oil and engine coolant leaks none seen at this time let engine cool over night road test in morning reinspect all OK at this time perform post test using scan tool with a successful system pass at this time
- Lubricate and check chassis. Change oil and oil filter. Check air filter and breather filter. Check all fluid levels and tire pressures. Preform basic safety inspection.
