2010 GMC Sierra
Mileage262,384Service Date9/16/2026Services Performed- Pull fault codes found cylinder number 8 with active dead misfire, remove spark plug, test ignition coil found spark, perform compression test found 0 psi in 8, remove valve cover check rocker arms to cylinder 8 OK, with bore scope found valve seat dropped from cylinder head recommend removing cylinder head for further inspection Remove intake manifold, remove exhaust manifolds( recommend resurfacing exhaust manifolds), remove all related components to gain access to cylinder head bolts, remove both cylinder heads from engine, clean engine block gasket surfaces, replace cylinder head gaskets, replace all 16 lifters and lifter guides, replace all cylinder head fasteners, torque head fasteners to spec, reinsstall exhaust manifolds after resurfacing with new gaskets, replace spark plugs and ignition wires, install rear steam block off caps to replacement cylinder heads, replace serpentine belts, pull engine cooling system in to vacuum after reassembly cooling system holds vacuum at this time refill engine cooling system with new engine coolant, pressure test cooling system after refilling with engine coolant, manually prime engine oil system after oil change start and run engine, monitor engine coolant temp to operating temp OK at this time bleed air from cooling system, monitor misfires no misfires recorded at this time road test 100 miles reinspect engine cylinder head gaskets, valve covers for engine coolant and oil leaks none seen at this time, during road test felt engine motor mount rocking remove all related components to gain access to left engine mount replace left side engine mount no abnormal bump felt at this time
- Remove all related components to gain access to left side engine mount, replace left side engine mount reinsstall all previously removed components , road test after repair OK at this time

- perform alignments after suspension repair
- Remove all related components to gain access to front spindles remove spindles from truck, press out failed lower ball joints, replace both front sway bar links, reassemble front suspension reinspect lower ball joints after suspension reassembly OK at this time
